the way I've been describing it to people is - you know when you spend a lot of time with people, and you just want to be alone, and stare into a screen not really thinking about anything.. it's like that, except for when I'm staring into the screen I'm wanting to be with people

sophie and I still need to talk about the longer one - which we plan to do once this film is finished - which should be by monday evening, if everything with the soundtrack and voiceover goes as planned

we decided to make two films - a 45 second/1 minute one of the exhbiition. and then a 3-7minute documentary about the interesting things that have happened, amongst staging some stuff

To email [@] markfarid.com. Yeah I did see that one very exciting! I just realised from looking again at the site that it hasn't happened yet so looking forward to that. It sounds very arduous. It's interesting that you describe it as improving I certainly feel watched in a way with everything I do. I know that it'll almost certainly never be unearthed but knowing that it could makes me think at least a little about the consequence of being seen. There is a long term trend of going back and forth between the idea of being imprisoned by social rules (Rousseau humans are essentially good the 60s probably today) and needing them to advance from barbarity (Victorians etc). I always thought we'd be better off without social rules but I've more recently come round to the idea that the small corrective shames and praises by being visible are actually necessary to hold society together. Cool that you mention an online residency that was kind of in my mind when I was asking about the code. No worries about similarity it points much more to it being a product of the time and it's all about execution anyway!
